Stuffed figs. Recipe

Tools and Devices

  • Broiler
  • Cooking tray
  • Parchment paper


  • 12 fresh ffully ripe but firm figs
  • Goat cheese
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Honey


  • Preheat broiler on high
  • Cut off tops.
  • Cut into each fig 3/4 of the way then turn 90 degrees and do it again - creating a cross if you look at it from top.
  • Gently part the sides and place goat cheese into the cracks filling them up well but not overloading from the top
  • Sprinkle with salt, pepper, honey
  • Place on a tray lined with parchment paper
  • Place into broiler for 4 minutes. Depending on each individual broiler the results may vary. We are after getting the cheese melt and develop light brown color on top. It may require additional couple of minutes.
  • When done - take them out - put more honey and pepper on top and place into broiler for another 30 sec - 1 minute to melt honey.
  • Place on a nice serving tray.
  • Drizzle with juices that came out.
  • Serve immediately.
